Lisa Burman
Pedagogical Consultant
Lisa Burman is an experienced teacher and school leader. She currently works as a Pedagogical Consultant in Australia, supporting educators and leaders in prior-to-school and primary settings to develop site wide plans for pedagogical change.
Lisa's interests include early childhood education and care, embedding and contexturalizing the principles of the Reggio Emilia educational project within learning environments, playful learning, literacy learning, inquiry and strengthening children's connections to nature. She is passionate about pedagogies that see all children as capable and competent learners who are skilled in researching and constructing meaning. Her first book is entitled "Are you Listening?" Fostering Conversations that Help Young Children Learn" (Redleaf Press). In demand for workshops, keynotes and conferences. Lisa's favourite work remains when she is side-by-side with children and educators in their learning settings.
